I Peter 2:9-10, But
you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people
belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who
called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.

As a young naive pre-teen, I knew that
God spoke to my heart one night during an altar call. I knew
at a young age that God called me to minister to the children of
this world. As much as I knew God spoke to this little girl
at age 12, I didn't have a clue how to pursue that unique
experience I had long ago during a cold winter night in January.
I left that evening feeling special but not realizing that my
winter night experience would be a very long winter season for me
spiritually. I had every intention in the world to pursue
the call of God in my life. I did everything I could
possibly do to demonstrate my love towards the children of the
world. I gave away pretty much everything that I had, I
would baby-sit, I work with an organization that helped mentally
challenged people. The reality of that adventure was growing
colder and colder in my heart. Good intentions without Godly
interventions will leave a person hanging onto forgotten cold
dreams.
As people who love the Lord, our will and desire is to help our
brothers and sisters in the Lord to reach and fulfill the purpose
for which they were created. We each will make it to
the right path if we continue to serve with the help of the Lord.
How much time we would have saved if some adult would have
intervened and shared their personal growing experiences with
Jesus! How deeply rooted we would have been as children if
just one would have remained faithful and encouraged instead of
discourage or turn a blind eye to something they themselves might
have not known!
Personally, I have been challenged to live a life that intervenes
in the lives of the children that God chooses to place in my
world. Sharing my personal realities of life, challenging
them to live a life of four basic principles. Read your
Bible, always pray, tell of Jesus love every day. Spend some
time with Chrisitian friends and allow the sunshine to
awaken you to healthy summer season that will allow you to grow.
We have to do more than simply teach these words but we have to
personally be involved and live this out before them, so that
their good intentions become reality without any moments lost in
this world.
